Goodbye 2020 – thanks for a memorable first year!

We’re back in the kitchen, and having said goodbye (or good riddance!) to 2020, we’ve been looking back over The Limpsfield Cookery School’s first year of life (our anniversary is beginning of February).

It’s fair to say it’s been a rollercoaster, with both highs and lows, but we are immensely proud of the business we have managed to establish in the most difficult of circumstances.

The Limpsfield Cookery School has an unbelievably talented group of chefs (is there a collective noun for chefs?!). Their enthusiasm remains undiminished and they have been so supportive amidst all the cancellations and rescheduling of lessons, when new restrictions came into force. Please check our calendar and social media updates for details of all our exciting classes coming up in 2021!

Whilst not in our original business plan, the launch of our ready meal collection has proved spectacularly popular and it’s so gratifying to know that so many are enjoying our homemade food, with no trace of nasty additives. We plan to continue expanding our food range in 2021. If you have a favourite meal that we’re not already making, please do let us know and we’ll see if it can be added to our range.

Our Christmas Gift Fayre, held in our courtyard, was a resounding success and helped support local, artisan businesses during this difficult time. We had the most fabulous turnout, especially as we only knew we could go ahead a week before the day! We will definitely be continuing this new Christmas tradition. Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of us. We have been made to feel so welcome in the stunning village conservation area we call home. So, thanks for a memorable first year, 2020! Here’s to a gastronomically great 2021, with more culinarily creative cookery classes and lots of delicious home cooked ready meals! Jacqui and The Limpsfield Cookery School team.
