School’s back and we’re all set for a fun-filled summer term!

I don’t think I’m the only person to be breathing a huge sigh of relief now that the latest lock-down is finishing and life is beginning to take on some semblance of normality! It has been a long haul for everyone I know.

However, we are thrilled to announced that classes have finally resumed and we are back teaching a huge range of classes in our purpose-built kitchen, here in the heart of Limpsfield Village and we are very excited about the fun-filled summer term we have coming up!

The wonderful specialist chef, Jenny Chandler kicked off the first of our lessons with her bespoke course, “Larder-Love”. Jenny specialises in all things vegetarian, vegan and how to eat for a sustainable lifestyle.

She will be back in the kitchen with us in June with her take on Mediterranean Cuisine, but if you can’t wait that long, she is publishing a new children’s cookbook (great for adults too!) later this month. Details online soon.

Our uber-talented patisserie chef, Lucie Bennett hosted the first of our Making Macarons half-day classes and she will be back in May, teaching her popular Buttercream Cake class, together with a new half-day class, Florentine and Sable Biscuit making. I personally can’t wait for that!

Celebrity chef, Valentina Harris is also in the kitchen at the beginning of May, with her Authentic Pasta-making Masterclass, followed by a Tuscan Feast Day in July. Valentina is a joy to have in the kitchen and her classes are great fun, so don’t miss out on the experience!!!

I’m also very excited to announce that we will be hosting a series of evening pop-up restaurant events over the Summer months, located in our courtyard area. Our Head chef, Oliver Thompson, will be joined in the kitchen by our latest chef, Fausto Eppinger, who will be manning the barbecue station.

Places are strictly limited and are selling fast.We have a fabulous selection of classes scheduled over the next few months, so please do check out our website for dates.

Following all the positive feedback we’ve received, I can confirm that we will be continuing with our Ready Meal selection of food. Launched at the beginning of lockdown, it has proved hugely popular.

Everything is always kept in stock, so do order online, or pop into the cookery school and you will always be given a warm welcome..

Finally, I’d like to thank everyone for their support since the launch of the cookery school in February 2020.

Like many small businesses, the last 12 months have been huge challenge. Your continued support for us, and other small high street business, will be vital over the coming months to guarantee survival. Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Limpsfield Cookery School soon.

Much love, Jacqui x
